Art Show Tours

At a science fiction convention, the Art Show is a kind of combined museum and sales gallery. Some things aren’t for sale. You can come to buy, or look, or both.

We’ll have tours of the Art Show at Denvention 3. We sometimes call them docent tours, borrowing “docent” from the world of museums, where it means a guide or tour leader who’s good at pointing out things worth looking at. We’re arranging a salad bowl of various tour leaders, fans and pros, men and women, graphic artists, writers, critics. Docents like to take each other’s tours, too. There are lots of interesting perspectives in our community. Also talking about art is itself an art.

Look for a schedule of the docent tours in the Art Show near the entrance to the Art Show in Exhibit Hall D of the Colorado Convention Center.
